The Brothers Karamazov

The Brothers Karamazov, also translated as The Karamazov Brothers, is the sixteenth and final novel by Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky. Dostoevsky spent nearly two years writing The Brothers Karamazov, which was published as a serial in The Russian Messenger from January 1879 to November 1880.

If you’re looking for a book that is as much a workout for your soul as it is for your brain, this is it. Dostoevsky manages to wrap a high-stakes murder mystery inside a profound exploration of faith, free will, and the messy reality of human nature.
